Lorel |
Exile |
Age: 18
Height: 5'7
Origins: Drigossi
Hunter
Lorel is an exile of the Drigossi. Casted out of society for committing one of the greatest sins one can commit within their culture, Lorel was forced to survive on her own at the age of twelve. She is haunted by the ghosts of her past but is in denial about there being a curse placed unto her by the shaman of the time. She suffers from constant nightmares, possibly the explanation for her insomnia. Falling asleep is a struggle, a fear having developed and become a norm; staying asleep is another, she may wake up from sudden night terrors; waking up feeling well rested is a rarity, a blessing. This restless sleep makes her living difficult. It's hard to shoot straight when your mind beckons you to sleep instead. Lorel travels the land, travelling between Wolford and Arturius land, following the herds of animals as they move with the climate. She has made her living through hunting animals, the same thing that brought her disgrace and exile. Lorel killed a sacred animal of the Drigossi, and is haunted by the dark, angered spirits of the animal. Leaving the swamps was one of the most terrifying experiences in her life. She had to walk straight, not once able to look back. The light footsteps of the beasts followed close behind her and their deep growls kept her moving. If she were to look back or stop, they would kill her. There is no actual proof that would prove the spirits of the animals follow her out, and many believe it is only your imagination and fear taking over. Because it's so rare that someone would commit such a crime, there is little evidence to prove this tradition or folklore is true. Lorel can account the dread first hand, but there is one conflict. She does not believe she committed the crime of killing a sacred white wolf. Her story may sound promising, but it is impossible to tell who's to trust. Lorel's weapon of choice is a bow, crafted from her own hands, as were the arrows. Everything Lorel learned was practically self taught, and it's surprising how acute these skills are. Her tracking is one of the finest, and her aim would certainly be one to strive for by others, but her sleeplessness has affected it dramatically. She has long blonde hair with darkened roots and undertones. Her eyes are red, one of the less common colors among Drigossi people, and her build athletic. She is not the most attractive, having many quirky features that may not be as appealing to what the ideal "beauty" is. Her voice is lower and usually flat, sounding much more mature than what her age shows.
